The sun is shining for the Audi Quattro Cup U.S. Final at Pebble Beach! Once a small tournament in Germany, thousands of golfers now participate in local tournaments every year for a chance to compete in the U.S. Final. We hope you have an opportunity to enjoy the beautiful weather on the Monterey Peninsula this weekend. As always, a few highlights from the week:

Pebble had a slower week and reported 3 closed escrows and no new sales. The top closing was an ocean view estate on Ronda Road which sold off market for $9.8M (list price unknown). The other 2 sales included a dated Post Adobe in Country Club West on the market for approximately 3 months (sale price: $1.175M, 1.6% off list price) and a 1950’s build near MPCC which sold for 5.6% off list price at $1.1M (DOM = 66).

Carmel outshone the surrounding areas this week with 7 closed escrows and 4 new sales. The top closed escrow was an ethereal compound bordering Mission Trail on ¾ acre which closed at nearly 15% off list price at $5M (DOM = 140). Other closings included an off-market top-to-bottom remodel in the Golden Rectangle which sold for full ask at $3.2M, a restored 1930’s-built bungalow with guest cottage on the market for just 2 weeks (sale price: $2.225M, 3.2% off list price), a remodeled Contemporary in Carmel Point (sale price: $2.198M, 8.4% off list price, DOM = 52), an updated 1950’s build in Hatton Fields (sale price: $1.25M, 7.4% off list price, DOM = 104), an extensively remodeled Cape Cod style home on a busy street which was on the market for one month (sale price: $1.26M, 2.7% off list price), and a charming cottage close to town listed for less than a week which sold full price at $1.195M. Our impeccably remodeled masterpiece at 2848 Santa Lucia Avenue went into escrow this week – it has sweeping elevated views of Carmel River Beach and Point Lobos (list price: $6.495M, DOM = 381, a Canning Properties Group listing/co-listed with Tim Allen). New sales in Carmel included a newly constructed French-style home on the market for 1 year (list price: $3.9M), an Adobe in the heart of Carmel Point (list price: $1.885M, DOM = 36), and cottage in Northeast Carmel listed for $1.875M (DOM = 101).

There was 1 closing in Quail and 1 new sale in the Preserve this week. Canning Properties Group is honored to represent the sellers of the closed escrow in Quail Meadows. With expansive valley views from both levels, this Modern Craftsman closed for $3.4M (2.9% off list price) after going back on the market for approximately 2 months. A Spanish-style Hacienda on 46 acres listed for $3.95M into contract in the Preserve after roughly 4 months on the market.

The Highlands oceanfront continues to make headway – the home featured in the film “Play Misty for Me” on Spindrift Road went into escrow this week after 9 months on the market (list price: $8.75M; originally listed at $10.995M). There were no closed escrows in the Highlands to report.
