The Taylormade Pebble Beach Invitational is the world’s only tournament including players from the PGA, LPGA, Champions, and Web. com-Tour. With Pros in the rotation teaming up with Amateurs each day, this year’s event includes a fun-filled competition from 11/15-11/17 and the final round at Pebble on 11/18 at 8 AM. Admission to 17 Mile Drive and the tournament is free – stroll through to enjoy the live play by some of the world’s top golfers at beautiful Pebble, Spyglass, or Spanish Bay. The lone closing in Pebble Beach this week was an 80’s-built traditional home in the Upper Forest region, which sold for $1.335M (10.4% off list price, DOM = 142). There were no new sales in Pebble this week.
Carmel had 1 new sale; a Mid-Century Modern compound with views of the ocean and mountains on one of the largest residential parcels in Carmel reached mutual acceptance (DOM = 144). This property was originally listed for $5.25M and was reduced to an ask of $4.65M. There were 4 closed escrows in Carmel this week: a European cottage in Hatton Fields which sold at $1.795M for full ask after 2 weeks on the market, a cozy 1950’s-built turnkey remodel in Carmel Point (sale price: $1.598M, 5.3% off the original list price, DOM = 138), a similar product just around the corner near River School which sold $8.2K above ask after 4 days on the market (sale price: $1.4072M), and a dated cottage in the rectangle which clocked at $1.3266M (1.6% off list price) within 1 week of the last date.
A 1970’s-built remodel opportunity with views of the 3rd green in Quail Lodge sold this week for $1.75M after 2 months on the market (5.8% off most recent list price and 16.2% off original list price). There was no activity to report in the Preserve this week.
One new sale and one closed escrow occurred in Carmel Highlands this week. A remodeled home with a detached guest house near the Highlands Inn went into a contract – it was listed for a little over a month at $1.249M. A 100-year-old landmark estate on over an acre directly adjacent to Point Lobos sold at full price for $6.4M after 3 weeks on the market. This property also enjoys private trail access to Gibson Beach at the southernmost end of the nature reserve.
