Concours Week on the Monterey Peninsula – The Best Time to Look at Cars and Homes
Every August, Pebble Beach becomes the center of the automotive world. For one extraordinary week, legendary collector cars, renowned designers, manufacturers and enthusiasts from around the globe converge on the Monterey Peninsula for Monterey Car Week, culminating in the 75th Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance on Sunday, August 16. While thousands of visitors are focused on what's happening on the show field, we find ourselves looking at something else – the homes. Because in Pebble Beach, exceptional design doesn't stop at the cars.
The Homes Behind the Concours
The same qualities that make a collector car extraordinary - craftsmanship, provenance, design, rarity and attention to detail - are often what make a Pebble Beach home truly special. It's the oceanfront setting. The architecture. The way a home is positioned to capture the Pacific. The privacy of a wooded estate. The craftsmanship of a beautifully designed interior. And, perhaps most importantly, the feeling that comes from owning a home in one of the world's most iconic coastal communities. During Car Week, those qualities become especially apparent.
As you travel along 17-Mile Drive, pass The Lodge, or make your way toward the Concours show field, you'll see some of Pebble Beach's most remarkable residences alongside some of the world's most remarkable automobiles.
A Different Kind of Collector's Collection
At Canning Properties Group, we often talk about what makes a property irreplaceable. For some buyers, it's an expansive ocean view that can never be replicated. For others, it's architectural character, privacy, proximity to the golf courses or the ability to entertain family and friends in a truly exceptional setting, and our current collection reflects that range.
1041 Rodeo Road showcases sophisticated modern design, refined finishes, and effortless indoor-outdoor living—an example of how thoughtful architecture can create a home that feels both elevated and inviting.
At 1238 Padre Lane and 1272 Padre Lane, spectacular ocean views take center stage, offering the opportunity to experience the beauty of the Pacific from home.
1494 Cypress Drive captures the quintessential Pebble Beach experience with its dramatic coastal setting and sweeping ocean views—an extraordinary place to retreat after a day immersed in the excitement of Car Week.
And at 1565 Riata Road, expansive ocean and sunset views create a remarkable backdrop for everyday living.
Each property is different, but they share some important features - location, design and a sense of place that can't simply be replicated.
The Ultimate Pebble Beach Experience
One of the luxuries of owning in Pebble Beach is being able to experience Car Week without having to make it your entire day. Spend the morning admiring legendary automobiles. Stop by an auction or explore Concours Village. Enjoy lunch with friends. Then return home, step outside, and trade the excitement of the show for the quiet of the Pacific. It's that balance of world-class excitement paired with extraordinary tranquility that makes Pebble Beach such a special place to call home.
