 Bring the whole family to Pebble Beach to watch legends of golf pair up with juniors from The First Tee this weekend at world-renowned Pebble Beach Golf Links and Poppy Hills. Tee times begin at 7:15am this Saturday and Sunday and admission is free. Support the youth of the future as they play alongside PGA TOUR Champions players and display their shot-making skills and life skills they’ve learned through The First Tee education.  Check out the action at http://www.pureinsurancechampionship.com.  If you can’t make it to the area, catch the action from the comfort of your home on The Golf Channel from 12:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. We experienced a quiet week from a units sold perspective in our local markets this week (4 closings) but remained productive reporting 10 new sales. Canning Properties Group is honored to represent the top closed escrow in Pebble Beach this week – an iconic 1930’s-built estate on the prized 18th Fairway at Pebble Beach sold for $18.13M (20% off most recent list price or 30% off original list price, DOM = 529). There were no other closings, but the region had 2 new sales: an extensively remodeled circa 1980’s home in the Upper Forest which reached mutual acceptance off market (list price: $1.75M) and a dated Mediterranean in Country Club West went into contract with an ask of $1.695M (DOM = 44).

Carmel had 3 closings this week: a partially updated ‘90’s-build in SE Carmel sold for $1.785M (2% off list price) after just 2 weeks on the market, a cozy vintage cottage in NE Carmel which closed full price ($1.32M) after 3 weeks active, and a dated historic cottage with accessory dwelling unit built by renowned M.J. Murphy sold for $995K (5% off most recent list price or 9% off original list price, DOM = 71). The 8 new sales in Carmel this week consisted of a newly constructed Contemporary on a large lot in NW Carmel (list price: $3.85M, DOM = 103), a new build in the Golden Rectangle near the edge of town (list price: $2.4999M, DOM = 124), a dated beach house just a couple of blocks from Carmel Beach went into contract off market ($2.1999M), an oversized updated ‘80’s-built cottage in NE Carmel (list price: $2.195M, DOM = 25), a remodeled Colonial with quick access to town/HWY 1 which went into contract off market (list price: $1.839M), a partially updated Mediterranean on a corner lot near MPCC (list price: $1.695M, DOM = 44), a renovated home with views of Pescadero Canyon on a large forested lot in Carmel Woods (list price: $1.295M, DOM = 10), a single-level quintessential cottage in NE Carmel (list price: $1.249M, DOM = 63), and a cute little cottage with room for expansion in NE Carmel (list price: $949K, DOM = 84).

There was no activity to report this week in Quail, the Preserve, or the Highlands.
