Looking for something fun to do over the next few weeks to enjoy the holidays? We got out and researched a few of our favorites for you to join and make your own traditions!

Want to meet up with Santa and have some treats?

Friday December 9th from 3:00-6:00pm- The 2nd Annual Cookies with Santa, hosted by Pacific Grove Golf Links and The Grill at Point Pinos. Music will be sponsored by The Pacific Grove Middle School Band and Peninsula Harmony Company.  Join in for hot cocoa, eggnog lattes, peppermint mochas and kid-friendly holiday specials!

Looking for some exercise?

On Saturday, December 10th-  The Annual “Run Rudolph Run” 5K and 1K! This event is sponsored by Monterey Spine and Joint and welcomes all (to include dogs) to participate in this event to kick off the holiday season while dressed up in your favorite holiday attire. The event starts at 7:30am at Lovers Point in Pacific Grove. There is even a holiday costume contest and doggy costume contest! Are Classic Cars more your speed?

On Sunday, December 11th, join in spreading holiday cheer during the 3rd Annual Santa Classic Car Parade! Santa will be riding atop the vintage Red Engine Rides firetruck followed by a parade of classic cars filled with you and your family and friends. This family-friendly event will take you along the coast of Monterey and Pacific Grove with a stop at California Seltzer Company at beautiful Lover's Point for treats for kids big and small, then back to Monterey Touring Vehicles for photo opps with the Big Man himself! Parade begins and ends at our warehouse at 2228 Del Monte Ave., Monterey. This event costs $99.00 per car price and includes the use of an MTV vintage ride, treats at CSC, photos with Santa and goodie bags for all participants. Up to 4 people per vehicle. Cars will be chosen by MTV.

Are you more of a history buff?

December 9-10, 5:00-9:00pm- Monterey State Historic Park Association (MSHPA) and California State Parks present the 38th Annual Christmas in the Adobes. Return to the days of Alta California during Monterey’s premier holiday event, Christmas in the Adobes. This early evening walking tour of Monterey’s historic adobes adorned in holiday décor surprises and delights visitors with welcoming, candle-lit luminarias leading the way to each building’s entrance. Enjoy festive music and a variety of entertainment, as you explore over a dozen magical, historic adobes on the tour. Hear the stories of Monterey’s earliest buildings and savor the warm spirit of the community of this annual event that has become a family favorite during the holidays. Great tradition for everyone!

​Last, but not least, Monterey offers Ice Skating By the Bay, open now until January 1st, 2023. Ice skating is a fun tradition for the whole family and can be enjoyed right here in Monterey along the coastline. Seasonally located in Custom House Plaza behind Portola Hotel & Spa, this skating rink offers hours Monday-Saturday from 11:00am-10:00pm and Sundays from 12:00pm to 8:00pm.
